Niels Benedikter, postdoc
The Department of Mathematical Sciences has hired Niels Benedikter as a postdoc, associated with the research group Geometrical Analysis and Mathematical Physics.
Niels studied Mathematics and Physics at the University of Stuttgart. Afterwards he has been a PhD student with Benjamin Schlein at the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics in Bonn. He received his PhD in Mathematics in April 2014. He then continued to work with Benjamin Schlein at the University of Zürich for half a year. After working with Alessandro Giuliani in Rome for three months, he arrived in Copenhagen in January 2015.
Niels' research interests are in mathematical quantum theory, especially in the time evolution of many-body systems and recently also quantum spin systems and statistical physics. His postdoctoral mentor is Jan Philip Solovej.
You can find Niels in office 04.2.11.
