Mogens Bladt, guest professor
Mogens graduated as a statistician from the University of Aarhus in 1991, and received his PhD from Alborg University in 1993. He then moved to a position as researcher at the Institute for Applied Mathematics at the National University of Mexico in Mexico City where he remained until present.
Mogens has preserved a professional relation to Denmark working together with researches such as Søren Asmussen, Steffen Lauritzen, Michael Sørensen and Bo Friis Nielsen, and he has visited departments at both the University of Copenhagen and the Technical University of Denmark for longer periods.
While Mogens has published articles in areas such as mathematical finance and statistical inference for stochastic processes. His main areas of research continues to be Applied Probability with special emphasis on the use of phase-type distributions in risk and queueing theories.
Mogens is expected to teach courses at the master level within his core areas of interest. You can find him in office 04.3.07.
