Giacomo De Palma, postdoc at QMATH
Giacomo De Palma has joined the department on 1st October 2016 as a postdoc with the Villum Centre of Excellence for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH). His postdoc mentor is Matthias Christandl.
Giacomo has got a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Physics both from the University of Pisa (Pisa, Italy), and the "Diploma di licenza" in Physics from Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy).
Giacomo completed in September 2016 his PhD in Physics at Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy) with the thesis "Gaussian optimizers and other topics in quantum information" under the supervision of Prof. Vittorio Giovannetti.
His research interests include quantum information with focus on quantum Gaussian channels and on the links with quantum statistical mechanics and quantum thermodynamics.
You can find Giacomo in office 04.2.17.
