Lars Halvard Halle, associate professor
Lars Halvard Halle is employed at the Department of Mathematical Sciences from 1 August 2014, working with the research group Algebra and Number Theory.
Lars received his PhD from the Royal Inst. of Technology (KTH) Stockholm, Sweden, where he had Professor Carel Faber as supervisor. After that he was a postdoc at K.U. Leuven, Belgium, at Leibnitz University Hannover, Germany, and at the University of Oslo, Norway.
Before coming to Copenhagen, Lars worked as Associate Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway.
“My field of research is Algebraic and Arithmetic Geometry. In particular I am interested in questions regarding degenerations, arithmetic and moduli of algebraic varieties. Much of my current research concerns Motivic Zeta Functions associated to degenerations of special varieties such as curves, abelian varieties, K3 surfaces, Calabi-Yau varieties and Hyperkaehler varieties”, Lars explain.
Lars’s office is 04.1.15
