Massimiliano Ungheretti has been employed as a PhD student at the Department of Mathematical Sciences since September 2013. He is associated to the Centre for Symmetry and Deformation and the Topology Group.
Massimiliano's supervisor is Nathalie Wahl and he will be looking at field theories and cyclic homology.
In July 2013 Massimiliano obtained his MASt (Master of Advanced Study) in Pure Mathematics from Cambridge University.
Before that he obtained a BSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Physics from Utrecht University. For this he wrote the thesis "Clustering Methods for the FoCal detector", supervised by Thomas Peitzmann. During his bachelor he also spent one semester at Sheffield University.
