Meritxell Sáez, postdoc

The Department of Mathematical Sciences has employed Meritxell Sáez as postdoc from 1 September 2014. She will be associated with the research group Statistics and Probability Theory.

Meritxell will work with Elisenda Feliu and Carsten Wiuf. She will do research on algebra applied to biological systems.

Meritxell took a PhD in algebraic geometry last summer from Universitat de Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. Her thesis was titled “On low degree curves in C(2)". Her advisors were Professors M. A. Barja and J. C. Naranjo.
