Andreas Bluhm, postdoc at QMATH
Andreas Bluhm started September 1st 2019 as a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen. He will be working at the Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH).
Andreas received his PhD in 2019 from the Technical University of Munich. His thesis is called "Compression and measurements in quantum information theory" and has been written under the supervision of Michael M. Wolf.
Before that, Andreas studied Physics at the University of Rostock, Germany, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in 2013. He continued with a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics in Munich at the Ludwig Maximilian University and the Technical University, which he received in 2015.
Andreas is mainly interested in the limitations physics imposes on information processing tasks. Examples of such questions are how much quantum states can be compressed and how much incompatibility there is in a set of quantum measurements.
