Angélica Torres, postdoc
Angélica was employed as a postdoc researcher on the 1st of December 2019 at the department’s research group Mathematics of reaction networks (MBIO).
Angélica took her PhD here in Copenhagen, with Elisenda Feliu as supervisor. Her main research interests are applied and computational algebraic geometry, and combinatorics.
She got her math degree at National University in Colombia, and her Master's degree at the University of Seville (Spain), where she worked on two-dimensional cobordisms and a special category of functions between finite sets.
Currently, her research lies on the field of applied algebraic geometry. The main focus is on developing algebraic methods for studying the local dynamics of equilibrium points, in systems of polynomial differential equations with parametric coefficients. In particular in systems arising from chemical reaction network models of biochemical processes.
Angélica works in office 04.3.03
