Calista Bernard, research assistent
Newly employed
Calista is employed as a research assistant at the section for Algebra & Geometry, where she will work with Søren Galatius and the new GeoTop Centre.
Calista has for several periods been a visiting PhD student at the Department, affiliated with the Topology group and the Center for Symmetry and Deformation.
Her research interests include geometric topology and homotopy theory. Her current work is on homology operations, but other particular interests include embedding calculus, cobordism categories, and braid groups.
Calista is a PhD student at Stanford University, where she obtained her Master’s degree. Prior to this, she received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago.
