Debbie Kusch Falden, PhD student
Debbie Kusch Falden has been employed as a PhD student at the Department of Mathematical Sciences since 1 April 2019. She is part of the section for Insurance and Economics and is working under the supervision of Mogens Steffensen.
Debbie holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Actuarial Mathematics from this department. She graduated in Marts 2019 with her master thesis entitled ”Application of Marked Poisson Processes in Insurance Mathematics” under the supervision of Professor Thomas Mikosch.
Debbie is assigned to the project “Projection of Balances and Benefits in Life Insurance” (ProBaBLI), which is a collaboration between the Department of Mathematical Sciences, the IT University, and Edlund A/S. Along with Debbie, three other students are affiliated - one from the IT University and two from the Department of Mathematical Sciences, likewise with professor Mogens Steffensen as the supervisor.
Debbie has been working with the project ProBaBLI since 1 September 2018. The project aims to develop a calculation platform that can make projection based calculations of the balance of life insurance companies based on stochastic scenarios.
