Ella Jacobsen, PhD student
On 1 April 2022, Ella Jacobsen was employed as a PhD student in the department's section for Statistics and Probability Theory.
Ella is affiliated with the research group Copenhagen Causality Lab (CoCaLa). Her PhD project is about causal inference using nation-scale data from Statistics Denmark.
Her supervisor is Niels Richard Hansen from CoCaLa, her co-supervisors are Andreas Bjerre-Nielsen and Sune Lehmann, who are both affiliated with the Center for Social Data Science (SODAS) at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Ella has a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in physics, both from the University of Copenhagen. Her master's thesis was titled "Analysis of spatiotemporal patterns of plastics in the Baltic Sea" and had Markus Jochum as supervisor.
