Eric Ling, postdoc
Newly employed
Eric Ling is employed as a postdoc from 1 January 2023 in the section of Algebra & Geometry. He will be working at the Copenhagen Centre for Geometry and Topology.
Eric is interested in geometric analysis, and his research area is concentrated in spacetime singularities, topology, and low regularity. His mentor will be Niels Martin Møller.
Eric graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with degrees in mathematics and physics. He received his PhD from the University of Miami under the direction of Gregory Galloway.
- From 2019-2020, Eric was a postdoc at KTH Stockholm, funded by the Wallenberg Fellow program.
- From 2020-2022, he was the Harold H. Martin Postdoctoral Fellow at Rutgers University, USA; where he worked on the general relativistic hydrogen problem with Shadi Tahvildar-Zadeh and Michael Kiessling.
- In the second half of 2022, Eric was a postdoc at the Fields Institute, Canada, participating in the Thematic Program on Nonsmooth Riemannian and Lorentzian Geometry.
