Francesco has been employed as a PhD student since 15 February 2025 in the insurance and economics section.
“My name is Francesco Lugani, and I am originally from Italy. I completed my bachelor's degree in mathematics at the University of Bologna and earned my master's in mathematics from the University of Copenhagen. My master's thesis focused on operations research, specifically studying optimization problems under uncertainty and their applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
“I am now beginning my PhD under the supervision of Giovanni Pantuso. The research will center on stochastic programming with decision-dependent uncertainty, with both theoretical and computational aspects.”
