Huixia Wang, PhD student
Huixia Wang is employed as a PhD student from 1 September 2019, associated with the section for Statistics and Probability Theory, under the supervision of Carsten Wiuf and Anders Albrechtsen.
Huixia has a Master's degree from Southwest Jiaotong University, China. She wrote her Master's thesis, "Research on Log Mixture Gaussian Cox Process Model", under the supervision of Lianwen Zhao. Prior to this, she also received a bachelor's degree from Southwest Jiaotong University.
Huixia's PhD project is part of a larger project on inference on selection and past human demography and focuses on how human populations shaped, split up and merged in the course of time. The project will make use of the vast amount of large-scale genomic data that are available for modern and ancient human specimens.
