Jeroen van der Meer, PhD student
Newly employed
From 1 September 2019, Jeroen van der Meer is employed as PhD student at the department, associated with the Center for Symmetry and Deformation. His PhD advisor is Jesper Grodal.
Jeroen’s research area will lie in the application of homotopy theory to the study of algebraic groups and their representations. “But ask me again in a few months, and I'll give you a more precise answer as to what I am to do”.
Before Copenhagen Jeroen completed his master in mathematics, mostly aimed towards geometry and topology, at Universiteit Leiden, Nederlands; yet before that, he did his bachelor in mathematics and physics at Universiteit Utrecht.
