Lasse Petersen, PhD student at CoCaLa
Lasse Petersen is employed as a PhD student from 1 May 2018 and is associated with the Section for Statistics and Probability Theory and the Copenhagen Causality Lab.
Lasse's areas of interest are graphical models, causal inference and machine learning. As a PhD student, he will work on methods for causal discovery and development of non-parametric conditional independence tests for constraint-based structure learning.
He did both his bachelor's and master's at this department, and he wrote his master's thesis under the supervision of Professor Niels Richard Hansen, who is also his PhD supervisor. The title of his thesis was "Sparse Learning in State Space Models".
