Marie Levakova, postdoc in statistics
Marie Levakova started on February 1st 2019 as a postdoc in the Section of Statistics and Probability Theory. She will be mentored by Susanne Ditlevsen.
Marie obtained her PhD in 2017 at Masaryk University in Brno (Czechia). Throughout her PhD and one year as a postdoc, she worked in the Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague under the supervision of Petr Lansky in the Department of Computational Neuroscience.
The title of her thesis is "Stochastic models and statistical analysis of series of events".
Her research interests are the statistical analysis and stochastic modelling of neuronal activity. As a postdoc at UCPH, she will continue working on applications of statistics in neuroscience, mainly on developing tools of cointegration analysis techniques to infer the functional structure of coupled neuronal oscillators.
Marie’s work is supported by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 887784.
Marie's office is 04.3.01.
