Professor Michael Loss from Georgia Institute of Technology is visiting the QMATH-center with Jan Philip Solovej as host.
Michael Loss will be visiting Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory from 1 April to 30 June 2019.
Michael Loss obtained his PhD in 1982 from ETH Zurich, with a dissertation on the three-body problem. He is the co-author of the textbook Analysis (AMS 1997/2001). In 2012, he became one of the inaugural fellows of the American Mathematical Society, and was elected as a Foreign Corresponding Member of the Chilean Academy of Sciences. He is one of the 2015 winners of the Humboldt Prize.
