Nidhi Kaihnsa, postdoc
Nidhi Kaihnsa was employed as a postdoc on 15 February 2023 associated with the Section for Statistics and Probability Theory. She will be working with the research group Mathematics of reaction networks (MBIO).
Nidhi works at the intersection of dynamical systems, chemical reaction networks, and real algebraic geometry. Her current research interests also include polynomial and convex optimization. Her mentor is Elisenda Feliu.
Nidhi took a dual B.S-M.S in Mathematics, in May 2015, from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali, India. Her advisor was Alok Maharana. She did her PhD at Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig, Germany, under the supervision of Bernd Sturmfels. Her thesis was “Algebraic Methods for Dynamical Systems and Optimisation”.
She worked as a postdoc here in Copenhagen from September to December 2019, and since then as a Prager Assistant professor at Brown University, USA.
