Peter Patzt, postdoc
Peter Patzt started 1 June 2020 as a postdoc at the GeoTop Centre and the Algebra & Geometry Section.
Peter received his PhD at the Free University Berlin in April 2017 under the supervision of Holger Reich. Before coming to Copenhagen, he was employed as postdoc at Purdue University, USA.
Peter’s says about his research: “It lies within algebraic topology and is concerned with the cohomology of groups in sequences. Often stability phenomena under the names of homological stability and representation stability occur. I'm particularly interested in the cohomology of arithmetic groups and applications to algebraic K-theory and number theory.”
In the summer of 2017, Peter was a Visiting Researcher here at MATH. He visited the Department again in the fall of 2019 and gave a talk at a Topology Seminar: “The second homology of the Torelli groups”.
When we return to our offices, you will find Peter in 04.2.07.
