Sam Nariman, postdoc
Sam Nariman was employed 1 September 2019 at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, associated with the Center for Symmetry and Deformation and the research groups Topology and Algebra & Number Theory.
Sam got his master in Iran at Sharif University and his PhD at Stanford University in 2015 under supervision of Søren Galatius.
He was a postdoc at the University of Münster, at the Michael Weiss’ group, for one year and then a Boas assistant professor at Northwestern University. In the fall of 2020, he will join Purdue University.
Sam’s research interests, in general, include applications of homotopy theory in studying moduli space of geometric structures and in particular foliated manifold bundles, stable homology of moduli spaces, automorphism groups of manifolds in particular three-manifolds.
Sam sits in office 04.2.01.
