Simon V. Brodersen and William Heuser, research assistants
Simon and William are hired as part of Niklas’ research grant project “CausalBiome: Developing a unified statistical framework for analyzing microbiome data” from the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
The resulting software package will be an important component in making some of the statistical procedures that have been recently developed as part of the CausalBiome project available to applied researchers. The software will be openly available and aims to be easily adaptable and extendable for other researchers also interested in implementing fast modifications or extensions of decision trees.
Simon Vinding Brodersen studies computer science and economics at UCPH, and is about to start his third year of the bachelor's programme. He expects to subsequently take a master's degree in computer science at UCPH. “In my spare time, I like to be active. Before I broke my ankle this involved football”.
William Heuser has just completed his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Economics and will start on his master’s in Computer Science. “In addition to studying, I enjoy being out in nature and especially being on the water. Whether it is in a sailboat, kayak or SUP board is secondary."
