Timo Adam, postdoc
Timo Adam started on 1 September 2022 as a postdoc associated with the Statistics and Probability Theory section. He will be working with Susanne Ditlevsen.
Timo received his PhD from Bielefeld University, Germany, in 2020, where he also obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
His research focuses on flexible extensions of hidden Markov models, non-parametric modelling techniques, and their application in ecology, particularly animal movement modelling.
Before joining the University of Copenhagen, Timo worked as a postdoc at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
At the University of Copenhagen, Timo will be working on statistical models for marine mammal data, particularly hidden Markov models and stochastic differential equations.
