Yifan Jia, postdoc

Yifan is broadly interested in quantum information theory, with a particular focus on different complexity notions, e.g. circuit complexity, in quantum many-body systems.

Yifan did her bachelor, master and PhD at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, under the supervision of Michael M. Wolf.  Her past work involved using transcendental number theory and Lie-algebraic methods to establish exponential lower bounds on quantum circuits.

At the QMATH Centre, Yifan will work with Matthias Christandl. She is currently working on the resource theory of tensor networks.
