Yijing Li, PhD student
Yijing Li is employed as Marie Curie PhD Fellow at the Department of Mathematical Sciences from 1 Sep 2019, associated with the section for Statistics and Probability Theory. She will work with the research group Mathematics of reaction networks (MBIO).
Yijing’s principal supervisor is Carsten Wiuf and co-supervisor Anders Albrechtsen. She is interested in probability theory and stochastic processes in bioscience. Her PhD project is about providing a mathematical framework for inference, and develop statistical models on population genetics.
Yijing obtained her Master’s degree in Statistics at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Prior to this, she received her Bachelor’s degree from Southeast University, China. She has also worked as a risk modeler in a finance-technology company for a year and a half in Beijing, China.
