Yuming Zhao, postdoc
Yuming Zhao joined the Department and the Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH) on 15 September 2024. He is hosted by Laura Mančinska.
Yuming received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and applied mathematics from Zhejiang University (China) in 2019. He then took a master’s degree at the Institute for Quantum Computing and the Department of Pure Mathematics, University of Waterloo, (Canada) – where he in 2024 completed his PhD, supervised by William Slofstra. The thesis title was “Tsirelson’s Bound and Beyond: Verifiability and Complexity in Quantum Systems“.
Yuming is broadly interested in the mathematics of quantum information. In the past, he has worked on approximate representation theory and its applications in quantum self-testing, delegated quantum computations, and decidability in operator algebras.
"I love exploring connections between different areas," Yuming says. "I’m excited to discuss ideas with mathematicians, physicists, and computer scientists here at QMATH."
You can meet Yuming in Vibenshuset, Lyngbyvej 2.
