Zhihao Wang, PhD student
Zhihao joined the Statistics and Probability Theory section on October 1st 2024 and began his PhD studies under the supervision of Jun Yang.
Zhihao comes from China. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2022 and his master's in mathematics from the Technical University of Munich in 2024.
During his master's studies, his primary research focus was on probability theory and statistics. Under the supervision of Nina Gantert, he completed his master's thesis titled "Large deviations for local neighborhoods in random graphs.“
Here in Copenhagen, he will further the research on Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC), particularly focusing on Stereographic MCMC. His research interests include MCMC, Bayesian inference, Markov processes, and data analysis.
