Fabien Pazuki, associate professor in algebraic number theory
The Dean has appointed Fabien Pazuki as associate professor in algebraic number theory at the Department of Mathematical Sciences from 1 September 2014.
Fabien did his PhD under the supervision of Professor Marc Hindry (Paris 7) and Professor Henri Cohen (Bordeaux 1). Fabien received his PhD from the University of Bordeaux, France, on 4 July 2008. He then became an assistant professor (ATER) at Paris 7 and after a short postdoc at University of Lethbridge (Canada) he obtained a position of associate professor (Maître de conférences) at University of Bordeaux in 2009.
"My field of research is arithmetic and diophantine geometry. I mostly work in height theory on abelian varieties over number fields or function fields. I am very interested in the arithmetic of rational points on varieties, Mordell-Weil groups, elliptic curves, arithmetic dynamics, transcendance theory", explains Fabien Pazuki.
Fabien’s office is 04.1.19
