Bob Pepin, visiting PhD student
Bob Pepin is working with the Statistics and Probability Theory Section at MATH as a visiting PhD student. He is doing his PhD in stochastic analysis under the supervision of Anton Thalmaier at the University of Luxembourg.
Bob holds an MSc in electrical engineering from Supélec in Paris and a Master of Research (MRes) in synthetic biology from Imperial College London.
Bob works within the field of stochastic analysis; he is interested in metastability, two-scale processes, time reversal, conditioning of Markov processes and functional inequalities. He studies stochastic processes associated with molecular dynamics with a focus on Temperature-Accelerated Molecular Dynamics and Transition Path Theory.
You can find Bob in office 04.3.21.
