Kristian Knudsen Olesen - PhD student
PhD student
From February 1, 2013, Kristian Knudsen Olesen is employed as a PhD student at Department of Mathematical Sciences, associated with the research group in Non-Commutative Geometry.
Kristian got his Master's degree in Mathematics at MATH. His advisors are Uffe Haagerup and Magdalena Musat.
Kristian's research interests are in the theory of von Neumann algebras and its relation to geometric group theory, through objects such as the group von Neumann algebra, and the reduced group C*-algebra. A particular example could be how approximation properties for groups relate to certain approximation properties for C*-algebras.
Kristian is seated in office 04.1.06.
