Anton Samojlow, PhD student
Newly employed
Anton Samojlow was employed as a PhD student at the Department 1 April 2015. He is a part of the section Geometric Analysis and Mathematical Physics, with Jan Philip Solovej as his PhD advisor.
Anton obtained his Bachelor degree in physics from the University of Marburg, Germany, and then switched to the Master program "Theoretical and Mathematical Physics" at LMU Munich. Here he finished his thesis on "Non-binding of strongly coupled many polarons in dimension two and three" this year.
Anton’s research interests are mathematical quantum mechanics, PDEs and mathematical physics in general. Currently he’s investigating the Born-Oppenheimer curve for diatomic (heavy) molecules in Hartree-Fock theory.
Anton’s office is in 04.0.07.
