James Stankewicz, postdoc
James Stankewicz is employed as a postdoc at Department of Mathematical Sciences as of October 23, 2013. He’s working with the research group Algebra and Number Theory & the Experimental Mathematics group.
Previously, he was at Wesleyan University (Connecticut, USA) for one year after completing a PhD at the University of Georgia under the direction of Pete Clark and Dino Lorenzini.
His research is concentrated in the areas of number theory and algebraic geometry, especially questions related to elliptic curves, abelian varieties, modular curves, Shimura curves and the study of rational points on varieties.
