Guozhen Wang, new postdoc
Guozhen Wang was employed as a postdoc at MATH on September 1st, 2015. He will be working with the research groups Algebra & Number Theory and Topology – and with Centre for Symmetry and Deformation.
Guozhen received his BSc and MSc from Peking University, Beijing, China and his PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, under the direction of Mark Behrens.
Guozhen's research is primarily in the area of algebraic topology. Guozhen studies unstable and stable homotopy groups, in particular the techniques in computing these groups. He also works on chromatic homotopy theory and Goodwillie calculus.
