Sinan Yalin, postdoc
Sinan Yalin is employed as a postdoc from 1 January 2016. He will be associated with the research groups Topology and Non-Commutative Geometry and the Center for Symmetry and Deformation.
Sinan, who is a french citizen, did his undergraduate studies at Strasbourg University and received his PhD from the university of Lille 1 in September 2013, under the supervision of Benoit Fresse. Since then he has been a postdoc at Luxembourg University in the research group of Sergei Merkulov.
Sinan's research primarily focuses on interactions between homotopy theory of algebraic structures and various topics in topology, geometry and mathematical physics. For this, he is interested in methods coming from homotopical algebra, higher category theory and derived geometry.
