Title: A descent result for algebraic K-theory

Abstract: Algebraic K-theory does not have the Mayer-Vietoris property for abstract blow-up squares (`cdh-descent’). However, Morrow proved that a `pro-Mayer-Vietoris’ sequence exists for abstract blow-ups of varieties over a field admitting resolution of singularities. I will outline an extension of Morrow’s result to arbitrary finite dimensional noetherian schemes. This is joint work with Moritz Kerz and Florian Strunk.
