Title: Knots and covers

Abstract: A common theme in knot theory is to use covers to obtain
information on the knot in question and to relate knots with respect
to concordance. We explore various instances of this approach and
see how it can be used to distinguish local from non-local knots in an
arbitrary 3-manifold.
