Title: Truncated logarithms for structured ring spectra
Abstract: This is a report on joint work with Clausen, Mathew and Stojanoska. We construct a functor between the categories of spaces and spectra whose formal properties resemble those of the Bousfield-Kuhn functor, but without having to localize spectra at a Morava K-theory. The trade-off is that the homotopy groups of the spaces and spectra we consider have to be concentrated in a certain finite range. One application is the construction of a truncated logarithm map for E-infinity ring spectra, analogous to Rezk's logarithm in the K(n)-local case.
