Title: A new approach to topological cyclic homology

Abstract: We will present work-in-progress with Peter Scholze on a new description of topological cyclic homology and cyclotomic spectra. One of the main new features is a "diagonal" map of spectra. If time permits, we will also explain how to obtain the cyclotomic trace in this setting.
