Title: Regularity and K-regularity of ring spectra

Abstract: Recall that any regular ring R is also K-regular in the sense that the algebraic K-theory of each polynomial ring R[T_1,..,T_n] is canonically identified with that of R.  I will discuss analogous phenomena in the setting of ring spectra, where there are some surprises.  This work is partly joint with Denis-Charles Cisinski, and partly joint with Vladimir Sosnilo.
