Title: Simple homotopy theory, generating functions and family Floer cohomology

Abstract: We will discuss the conjectural existence of higher Whitehead torsion invariants for certain Lagrangian submanifolds and suggest a program for their definition and study in the spirit of Igusa's parameterized Morse theory approach. The h-principle for the simplification of singularities of families of functions proved by Igusa is replaced by an h-principle for the simplification of singularities of Lagrangian fronts.
