Commutative Differential Graded Algebras

Abstract: To ease us into the definition of derived schemes, I will discuss one model for the affine derived schemes over fields of characteristic zero: CDGA's. After some motivationand examples I will go into the homotopy theory of CDGA's. If time permits, I will also discuss other models for the affines.
