Title: An Introduction to a Picture Language Program

Abstract: In joint work beginning just over three years ago with Zhengwei Liu we introduced planar para algebras. This framework turns out to be a picture language, with natural applications in Fourier analysis and quantum information.  We give some introductory remarks about this project.
