Title: Stable minimal hypersurfaces in R^4
Abstract: In a recent paper, Chodosh and Li proved the following rigidity result: hyperplanes are the only complete, immersed, orientable, stable minimal hypersurfaces in R^4. In this talk, I will present an alternative proof of this result, obtained in collaboration with G. Catino and P. Mastrolia, based on a conformal method inspired by a classical paper by Fisher-Colbrie. I will also present an application of this technique to the study of globally hyperbolic spacetimes.
