Title: Adding 50 pages to "C*-algebras and their Automorphism Groups"

Abstract: Gert K. Pedersen's classical monograph has been out of print for a long time, and Dorte Olesen and I have worked with its publisher to produce a second edition. Our contract allows us to add 50 pages of material to the original, with the purpose of putting it in a contemporary context and making it more useful for the next generations of C*-algebraists.

I will outline what we currently have in mind for these 50 pages, and hope to start a discussion with the aim of qualifying our decisions of what to add, and what not to add.
