Title: Drinfeld center and representation theory for monoidal categories

Abstract : We construct a *-representation of the fusion algebra of a rigid C*-tensor category from a unitary half-braiding on an ind-object. The motivation comes from the relation between the Drinfeld double and central property (T) for quantum groups, and it provides a new example of property (T) subfactors through the Longo-Rehren construction. This formalism also leads to the permanence of property (T) under weak monoidal Morita equivalence by Schauenburg’s equivalence of the Drinfeld centers. Based on joint work with Sergey Neshveyev.
