Title: Cohomology for totally disconnected locally compact groups

Abstract: For a topological group $G$ several cohomology theories have been introduced and studied in the past. In many cases the main motivation was to obtain an interpretation of the low-dimensional cohomology groups by analogy to the discrete case. The aim of this talk is to present the rational discrete cohomology for totally disconnected  locally compact groups and some results that can be obtained by investigation of the first-degree cohomology group.
