Title: Counterexamples to the coarse Baum–Connes conjecture from spectral-gap actions

Abstract: I will introduce a construction of John Roe assigning a metric space to a group action and show in particular how it can be used to bound the Rokhlin / amenability dimension or to obtain a continuum of counterexamples to the version of the Baum–Connes conjecture for metric spaces.
