Q-Access Roadshow
This is for researchers and students wanting to know more about getting access to quantum computers or getting inspiration on the applications of quantum computing.
Q-Access is a new initiative from the Danish e-infrastructure Consortium (DeiC) to give Danish users free access to quantum computers for research, development and innovation activities.
UCPH Quantum Hub & DeiC invites everyone at UCPH interested in knowing more about getting quantum access; whether you want to get started with quantum computing yourself, get more quantum computing resources or wish to be informed to guide colleagues and collaborators.
All employees and students at Danish universities can apply for Q-Access, whether new or experienced in quantum computing. An application programme was launched in November 2024 with two initial access models:
Easy access: Microsoft’s Azure Quantum platform
- Online request form with consecutive allocations (simple and short)
- Access to Microsoft’s quantum simulator and quantum computers from IonQ, PASQAL, Quantinuum and Rigetti (cloud-based)
- Allocation worth up to DKK 25.000 (can be requested multiple times)
Specialized access: Quantum computing companies
- Application with research project description (calls are published twice a year)
- Evaluation by international scientific committee
- Access to more specialized, specific and costly quantum computing facilities
Q-Access contacts at UCPH: Ass. Proff. Albert Werner & Proff. Stephan Sauer.
The Danish e-infrastructure Consortium (DeiC) is responsible for developing and coordinating collaboration on digital research infrastructure among universities governed by the University Act.
