The Mathematics of Inversion

The task of recognizing constants from a number of digits, or sequences from a number of terms, is a corner stone of experimental mathematics. I will discuss the mathematics that goes into "solving" such ill-posed problems with an emphasis on recognition of integer sequences with Maple.
