Marco Fanizza, postdoc
Marco Fanizza blev ansat som postdoc den 1. september 2024 og arbejder i Sektionen for Analyse & Quantum samt Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH) under vejledning af Matthias Christandl.
”My research focuses on quantum information theory, particularly quantum statistical inference and communication. Recently, I have been interested in modelling and learning complex quantum systems. I introduced a statistical learning framework for classical to quantum channels, and worked on characterizing and learning finitely correlated states with an approach based on general probabilistic theories and operator systems,” fortæller Marco.
Sammen med Matthias Christandl vil Marco udforske forbindelserne mellem entropier af multipartite kvantetilstande, spektrumestimering og grupperepræsentationsteori og deres implikationer.
Marco studerede fysik ved universitetet i Pisa og Scuola Normale Superiore og modtog sin ph.d. fra Scuola Normale Superiore i 2021 under vejledning af Vittorio Giovannetti. Derefter var han postdoc ved Autonomous University of Barcelona, hvor han blev vejledt af John Calsamiglia og Andreas Winter.
